To be honest I have only used this a few times but can definitely feel the difference we I do.

This scrub gets rid of all the product buildup in my hair. My scalp feels so light and clean now. My scalp was producing a lot of buildup before and that's reduced a lot since starting this. I apply to dry scalp before washing, leave a few minutes, then shampoo as normal.
